Crowns (caps) and bridges are made of porcelain, with or without a metal substructure
and are made to look just like your natural teeth. Crowns cover teeth with large restorations, teeth treated with
root canal therapy, or fractured single teeth. Bridges replace missing teeth between existing natural
teeth, by attaching to the existing teeth. Bridges are best for people who are missing only a few natural teeth.
Implant Supported Bridgework
Implants are artificial tooth roots which are surgically placed in the jawbone. Crowns are then
placed on top of the implant and look and feel just like your natural teeth. Implants can be
used to replace a single lost tooth, support one or both ends of a bridge, or even support a denture. Implants
eliminate the need for removable dentures or partials.
Full Dentures
Full Dentures are sets of artificial teeth that rest directly on the gums, and are for patients who
have lost all of their upper and/or lower teeth.
Partial Dentures
Partial Dentures are for people with multiple teeth missing, and whose remaining natural
teeth are not strong enough to support bridgework.
